An educational and interactive video game exhibition for all ages

My top three choices to explore in an exhibition were video games, books, and a favorite author. I could visualize a space showcasing video games clearer than the others, so it was an easy choice. I am familiar with the language and understand the process of creating a video game. I majored in game design because I was fascinated with the amount of detail in video games. So I decided this exhibition's focus would be on the evolution of video game graphics through history. With my research done, the visuals and layout of the space needed constant attention to create an engaging environment. After designing the visuals, I built the model by hand and applied all my designs.

The exhibition showcases a timeline of gaming graphics at the beginning of the space. After walking through the timeline, visitors will encounter sound design and music in video games. The next section is a gallery of iconic game characters and a quick display of some movies based on video games and vice versa. The last section of the exhibit is interactive rooms to play with friends and family. There’s a big room just for virtual and augmented reality gaming. Separate rooms and spaces are reserved for playing Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Super Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., and Just Dance. The wall leading to the exit features the top 10 gaming consoles. This exhibition is unique because you get to play video games while reading about its history.
